At Skills24 we believe that coaching is a fantastic, empowering skill set that is now recognised as an essential tool in the world of business and personal development. The beauty of coaching is its flexibility – allowing you to apply a coaching conversation to almost any subject imaginable. Coaching isn’t about telling someone what to do or having all the answers. It is a collaborative, solution focused approach to problem solving that is stimulated by insightful and probing questions. Although there are different views as to exactly what constitutes coaching the following is generally accepted:

  • It is essentially a non-directive form of personal development
  • Focuses on improving performance and developing individuals’ skills
  • Coaching is flexible and the coaching conversation can be applied to almost any subject
  • It provides people with feedback on both their strengths and areas of development
  • It is reflective and empowering
  • Helps people identify new potentials they did not even know existed
  • Can be applied to both personal and professional situations
  • And much, much more…
